Due to a technical error at Oslo Control Center, the airspace over southern Norway is temporarily closed. This is stated by Avinor in a press release.

– Significant delays are expected. Duration is currently unknown. We encourage all travelers to refer to the information they receive from their airline. We apologize for the inconvenience this causes, writes Avinor.

Avinor currently has no further information to provide.

Press officer in Avinor, Ylva Celius Trulsen, tells NRK that there are two systems that do not talk to each other. We are working on correcting the error.

– Safety always comes first, so then we have no choice, says Trulsen to NRK.

Norwegian informs TV 2 that the closure currently applies until 11 o’clock.

– We have been told that the airspace will be closed until 11 in any case. This means that we will have to cancel a number of flights, says communications advisor Eline Hyggen Skari at Norwegian to TV 2.

Currently, these flights to and from Bodø Airport are affected as a result of the closure:

  • SK4107 to Oslo has been cancelled.
  • SK4104 from Oslo is cancelled.
