In February, two men in their 20s were arrested and imprisoned when they got off the Danish boat to Bergen.
It happened after customs officials found large quantities of drugs.
The police did not want to comment on the quantity of the drugs previously to VG. They have said it is the biggest seizure they have made so far this year.
On Wednesday, they told Bergens Tidende that it was about 46 kilos of hashish, about 20 kilos of amphetamine and just under six kilos of ecstasy.
– This is a very significant drug seizure, and the penalty for importing it is high, says police attorney Jørgen Henriksen to the newspaper.
The penalty is imprisonment for up to 15 years.
– But we have not concluded according to the two who are in prison, whether they knew what was in the car. It is something we are investigating, says Henriksen further.
The newspaper writes that the police suspect several people involved.
– The reason why two people are in prison is that there is a risk of tampering with evidence. In that lies the fact that we believe there were probably others involved. We are working to find them and secure evidence against them, says Henriksen.
