Leading up to the European Championship qualifiers against Finland and the Netherlands, there has been uncertainty regarding the participation of Frida Maanum and Caroline Graham Hansen. We have received a clarification, and a decision is postponed until Friday.

Caroline Graham Hansen got a knock on his right thigh in the last game for Barcelona, and has therefore remained at the club for the first days of the national team period. There is talk of a small injury in the right ear. In consultation with the Norwegian national team management and Barcelona’s medical team, it has been decided that Caroline Graham Hansen will be in charge of this national team meeting.

– Based on the dialogue between our medical teams, this appears to be an injury that will not be long-term, and we hope Caroline will be back for Barcelona hopefully for the next game already. We wish Caroline all the best, and look forward to seeing her in the national team uniform again at the next meeting, says national team coach Gemma Grainger.

Cathinka Friis Tandberg (Linköping FC) has been called in as a substitute, has joined the squad, and will take part in today’s training in Lillestrøm.

Another player who has been uncertain about his participation in this national team gathering is Arsenal’s Frida Maanum.

– The medical apparatus at Arsenal want to do some further observations and tests on Thursday. We are in dialogue with both Arsenal and Frida, and follow the situation closely. The players’ health will always come first. A decision on whether Frida Maanum can join the national team squad at this meeting will not be made until Friday, says Grainger.

The next meeting with the press is a press conference at the Ullevaal stadium, Thursday 4 April at 11.00.
