The old boarding house on Oksøya has been converted into a holiday home, and in September last year the property was put up for sale with an asking price of 11 million.

– It is clearly a season of luck we are talking about, but the seller would like to have the property for sale now as a test. And we see that if a property is special enough, it will be sold out of season as well, said broker Marius Lundeberg Enger at Privatmegleren at the time.

On Tuesday, the asking price was lowered to 9.9 million.

– There has been some interest, but not enough for anyone to have made an offer that it has been possible to accept. Now we choose to lower the price when we enter the spring season, and hope that this will mean that the property will be sold. It is a very nice place, with very good opportunities for a large family, says Lundeberg Enger.

The property was built as far back as 1959. At that time there was a cafe down by the water on Oksøya, and the boarding house was built directly behind the cafe, as a boarding house and accommodation in connection with the cafe. The old cafe has long since been demolished, and a cabin has been built on the water’s edge not far from where the cafe was located. The old boarding house has been converted into a cottage on two floors, with two kitchens, six bedrooms, two living rooms and a lot of outdoor space, both covered and open patios.
