The villa has received a lot of attention, and the villa is owned by Finnmarking Are Smuk Figved.
The luxury villa is located on Nesøya, just outside Oslo. According to Figved, it is an idyllic area, with proximity to the sea, which he wanted.

The property was purchased in August 2023 for NOK 29.2 million. Shortly after the purchase, TV 2 contacted Figved, and then he was not really in rental mode. Figved also owns a house on Blommenholm, not far from Nesøya.
– Then I would sell the house on Blommenholm and move in there. I said no at first, but then they made an offer I couldn’t say no to, he says.
Figved will not reveal how much he was offered, but can say that it was a significant sum.
Looking for a large garage
– I actually bought it somewhat on impulse, but I thought it had a large garage. That was what I was looking for, says Figved, who is also the general manager of Finnmark Rein AS.
And the large garage is frequently used in the series.
For large parts of the year, Figved lives in Varangerbotn with his son, where he also has a residential address. It is so that the son will have the opportunity to go to school there.
– He goes to the Sami school, and it is my way of taking back the language I myself grew up without. I belong to the generation where many people grew up without Sami.
It is he and his son who will live in the large luxury villa. Figved therefore had to confer with his son before the purchase, and he thinks it was very nice.
– In addition, there are many children there of the same age.
Now that the son has started school, they are less often in the south, but they will spend the whole summer in Oslo.
– So there was no Easter holiday in the villa?
– No, it is under renovation. After TV 2 had been there, there was a divided thing that had to be done. There were little things like walls that needed to be painted and floors that needed to be fixed. Then it was just as well to take hold of everything.

– No house without a sauna
The furniture and plants used in the series, he explains, are TV 2 that have placed them there.
– The house does not look like this today. The colors have changed. A sauna will also be built there these days. No house without a sauna, he asserts.
– It is a very large house. So you can bet that we will not live completely alone in the future.
Figved admits that it is a bit strange to see his own house on TV, but the lighting they have used in the program has given him ideas for how it should look.
Figved and his son have not yet had time to spend a night in the house, but he has visited and followed the renovation work.
And many people have realized that it is Figved who owns the house.
– I see that there is a lot of positive feedback from people who think it looks like a very nice house. Everything from lighting and colours, but that’s not how it looks now, says Are Smuk Figved in conclusion.
