A little before four o’clock on Tuesday night, the police received a report of a car that had driven in the wrong direction on the E18 at Langangen. After a short time, the police had stopped the car.

– The car was heading north, and at Langangen the car had driven in the wrong direction on the motorway for a short stretch, operations manager at the police in the South-East police district, Eskil Hagen Olsen, told Østlands-Posten.

– However, the car had quickly moved into the correct lane, but the reporter had followed the car in the direction of Larvik, says the operations manager.

The car was stopped by the police near Bommestad, and the driver, a woman in her 40s, had her driver’s license confiscated.

– The woman is from out of town, and I do not now know where the car came from before it drove the wrong way at Langangen. There is no suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, says Hagen Olsen.
