Celebrity Easter 2024: – Paid us to death

--

For many, Easter is associated with traditions, in one form or another. For some, it means leaving the chaos of the city in favor of long ski trips, with orange and quick lunch breaks on the well-known “mountain”. Others like to spend Easter with a resting pulse in the southern sun, resounding on après ski, or at home in the city with as few plans as possible.

– Not quite ready for that

Dagbladet has spoken to several of the country’s celebrities about how they will spend this year’s Easter.

– Breather

One person who is looking forward to taking the Easter holidays in peace is actress Ine Jansen (50).

The 50-year-old is currently featured in the TV 2 series “Purk”, which is played on the channel during the Palm weekend.

– Now I’m going to take a breather on the ground, and it will be really nice. I’ve had so many projects for a while, and have just come home from a trip where I recorded a program with Linn Skåber, she says.

She describes the fact that spring has finally made its entrance in Oslo as fantastic. Even though Easter is to be spent in the city, it comes with some fixed traditions.

– It’s going to be a real city Easter for me, and I’m looking forward to it. I have to have Easter eggs – it’s a firm tradition wherever I am. Also maybe a crime story, if there is a good one!

Turns a year at Easter

Former model and presenter Kathrine Sørland (43) has a fixed tradition every Easter. In addition, she can talk about plenty of other snacks on the Easter menu.

Among other things, she actually turns one during the holidays.

– My birthday is at Easter, it will be a lot of fun. Then we’re going to Munich, there’s one annual trip we take with my in-laws. It is a very cool country to vacation in!

The 43-year-old describes the Munich trip as follows:

– Of course there will be wine and beer in the Easter sun, and lots of fun. There are also great shops, skiing and mountains. Simply just enjoy life for a few days!

The trip continues to the relatively newly purchased cottage in Tvedestrand.

– For the rest of Easter, we travel to the cabin with the rest of the family. Then my father arrives with his partner, my sister and her two-year-old.

The cabin, she says, has been ready for close to twelve months.

– We have paid ourselves to death on the interest for a year. Now we have also bought ourselves a small boat. It will be fantastic in the summer!, she says.

Former footballer John Carew (44), on the other hand, is among the mountain people.

In 2021, it became clear that Carew had bought a detached house in the mountain village of Heidal, where he has family roots. Easter will be spent in Gudbrandsdalen with a clear goal.

– There will be a few days in the mountains with the family. We’re going up there with the whole gang, we’re also going to visit grandma, he says.

Carew has children Tyrese (20) and Melodie (3). He has the latter together with Pernille Juvodden (27). In October last year, it became clear that the couple had gone their separate ways. It is not known whether Juvodden is part of the traveling party at Easter.

However, the days will consist of both cross-country skiing and alpine skiing.

– We have to look at the conditions and the weather a bit, but it’s always nice to get a trip on cross-country skiing and a trip on the slalom hill. As long as I don’t hurt my knees and ruin the golf season – it won’t work!, he laughs.

Actor Tone Danielsen (77) also leaves city life for cross-country skiing trails and a quick lunch. Easter will be spent in the mountain paradise Ustaoset in Buskerud.

– I’m going to the mountains and go skiing. It is absolutely beautiful there! Here, only cross-country skiing applies, I’m not in slalom, she says, and adds:

– It can be absolutely fantastic if the weather holds!

– Dick, passport and money

Rapper and artist Karsten “Big Daddy” Marcussen (35), on the other hand, uses a completely different tactic – at Easter, anything can happen.

– You know, I’m a bit in a thought bubble. Maybe I should take a trip to London or Berlin, or Gran Canaria? Or maybe I should just stay home. It will be a spontaneous Easter, and that’s what’s fun. When things just happen completely unprepared!

The artist recently made his acting debut as the villain “Bikkja” in the TV 2 series “Purk”. For others who are in the thinking box about the Easter plans, he has a clear call:

– The only thing you need is “PPP” – dick, passport and money, and you just need to travel, he says with a twinkle in his eye.

Should he stay in Oslo, he is in good company with comedian Jonis Josef (32) and actor Iben Akerlie (36).

The former has taken on the responsibility of keeping the townspeople alive this Easter.

– I’ll be doing stand-up at Latter all Easter, and that’s perfectly fine. That’s how I prefer it, he says.

Akerlie, on the other hand, says that she has few traditions associated with the holiday. However, there is one thing she must have.

– I will only be in town this year. I just got home from London, so I feel like I took my Easter break a little early. It will be a city Easter, with lots of sweets and hopefully good weather. Maybe lamb! Or wait, I don’t know if I want to make that, she laughs.

Artist Carina Dahl (38) does not hide that she loves Easter. For her, it will be a balance between work and relaxation.

– I will play on Maundy Thursday at Hafjell with Madcon and Vidar Villa. On Easter eve I play in Oppdal, so it will be a little bit at home in Trøndelag. I actually have Palm weekend off, so I’m thinking of going to the mountains already then, so I’ll have a whole week in the mountains.

– I’ve been skiing far too little, so then I just want to enjoy myself on cross-country skiing and on the slopes and drink red wine and not slip out, she says.

– Do you have any special traditions?

– I am happy to work. I don’t think I have any very special traditions, and I also grew up with a father who also played a lot. So I didn’t have an upbringing where you went cross-country skiing a lot.

Program host and “Shall we dance” judge Morten Hegseth (38) says that he is not quite sure where he and his husband Anders Riiber (52) will celebrate Easter.

– Crying every time

– It will probably be either a trip to Trøndelag or the cabin at Larkollen. Maybe it will be Oslo, we’ll see.

– We usually stay at the cottage, but Easter is so early this year, so I wonder if it will be a little too cold. It’s a summer cottage without insulation, so it might be Trøndelag, which is also cold, but then you know what you’re going to, it’s insulated there, he says.

LOVES EASTER: Morten Hegseth does not say no to a classic Easter celebration. This year, however, he is unsure whether it will be spent in the mountains or at home in Oslo. Photo: Andreas Fadum / Se og Hør

– What is your best Easter memory?

– One of the first years that Anders and I were together, we sat together in the sun wall, ate an orange, drank cocoa and the snow melted down. We had time off, just a classic Easter, he says, and continues:

– I just think that Easter is the best holiday there is, because it’s not as stressful as Christmas when you have to go to a hundred parties and collect lots of presents. Then spring begins to arrive and it is the world’s best holiday.
