Violent incident with a knife in Oslo – NRK Norway – Overview of news from different parts of the country

The incident took place at the Revolver nightclub in central Oslo.

On Saturday evening, task leader Tore Barstad describes the incident as follows:

– Two men have been in a fight with another man.

The police say that the two possible perpetrators must have run from the scene.

– These two are of North African origin. They are between 20 and 30 years old and have run down in the direction of Torggata, says Barstad to NRK.

The police have not yet made any arrests.

Serious damage

The police received a report from the health service at around 8.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

– The message was that a person had been subjected to a serious incident of violence with a sharp object, says operations manager Øyvind Hammervold to NRK.

The person is conscious and has been sent to hospital after being examined by health personnel at the scene.

Operations leader Tore Barstad says that the damage is serious.

– It is a serious injury, but not life-threatening. We know which weapon was used and have control over it.

No one has been arrested

– The police are working on the scene to get statements from witnesses and have started a search for possible perpetrators, says the operations manager.
