Traffic, Accident | A person to the emergency room after an accident

--

FORESTS: On Saturday morning, the emergency services responded to a traffic accident at the exit to Gundesølina along Gamle Sørlandske in Skoger. It has been a single accident.

The police report that the driver has been out in the car and was busy. The car has driven off the road and into a tree, which has led to extensive material damage to the car.

The police informs that an investigation on the spot gives grounds for opening criminal proceedings.

– The driver of the car, a man in his 20s, is reported after the descent, police operations manager Lise Bjørnsund informs.

She goes on to say that they do not know the reason for the run-off, but that when someone has driven off the road, there are grounds for investigating this further, and that they are therefore creating a case to map out what has happened.

– There is no suspicion of drunken driving.

Police officer at the scene, Jørgen Frogott, says it is currently unclear what caused the accident.

– We must investigate in more detail what has happened. The driver of the car is taken to the emergency department for a check-up. We finish on the spot, says Frogott.

Drammens Tidende’s journalist on the scene informs that the recovery vehicle was on the scene at 11.20 and the traffic flows smoothly past.
