Shooting outside rapper Drake’s house

The security guard was taken to hospital after the shooting in Canada on Tuesday night.

One man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after being shot outside the world-famous rapper’s home in the affluent Bridle Path neighborhood in Toronto, a number of media outlets write.

The police in the city say, according to the BBC, that it was a security guard who was shot, and that the perpetrator fled the scene in a car.

The security guard is seriously injured.

It is unclear if Drake was home when the shooting occurred.

News anchor Tammie Sutherland in City News shared photos on X at the crime scene shortly before 3 p.m.

Bitter feud with Kendrick Lamar

Drake is currently in the middle of a very heated feud with rap star Kendrick Lamar.

When asked if this feud may have something to do with the shooting, Toronto Police Inspector Paul Krawczyk replies that the police are aware of the disagreements, but that it is too early to discuss a possible motive, writes AP.

– We are in contact with the team and they are cooperating, he says according to the BBC.
