“Probably the only time you’ll see me without tattoos.”
Gustav Magnar Witzøe (31) shared a post on Instagram on Monday afternoon where he says he is excited before the Met Gala on Monday evening.
In the video, he gets make-up on his body, so that the tattoos are not visible.
“Probably the only time you’ll see me without tattoos,” he writes.
Also last year, the Norwegian was at the Met gala, which is organized at the Met Museum in New York on the first Monday in May each year.
Witzøe is both a model and owns almost half of the salmon company Salmar, which his father built up. He is worth $3.8 billion, according to Forbes.
Each year, the Met Gala focuses on a specific theme that celebrates the museum’s major exhibition. This year, it is “Sleeping Beauty: Reawakening Fashion” that is honored.
This year’s theme is “The Garden of Time”.
According to Vogue, the theme is inspired by JG Ballard’s short story of the same title, written in 1962. It can be interpreted in countless ways, but it is expected to see many floral and botanical outfits on the red carpet this year.
This year’s Met Gala celebrates the passage of time, antique textiles, the cycles of nature and several fierce concepts linked to fashion history.
MEETING
The Met Gala: The Most Iconic Outfits
Vogue editor Anna Wintour is in charge of the guest list, and it is known to be extremely difficult to get an invitation to the exclusive event.
The guest list is packed with big names such as Rihanna, Zendaya and Jennifer Lopez, and there is great excitement attached to the outfits on the red carpet.
Some fashion moments are hard to forget – like when Kim Kardashian in 2022 received massive criticism when she appeared in one of Marilyn Monroe’s original dresses from 1962, or when our own Renate Reinsve appeared in head-to-toe Louis Vuitton the same year.
