Princess Kate and Prince William dropped years of tradition: Fans disappointed

On Tuesday, the youngest of Prince William (41) and Princess Kate’s (42) three children, Prince Louis, turns six. In previous years, the parents have marked their son’s birthday with a traditional photo shoot, where they have shared charming photos of the little prince on social media.

Daily Mail reported that several hopeful fans were eagerly awaiting Tuesday morning – and morning – for the celebration of Prince Louis’ sixth birthday. In the early hours of the birthday, however, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ social media accounts remained silent.

It is usually the princess herself who is behind the pictures of her son. The princely couple also have son Prince George (10) and daughter Princess Charlotte (8) together.

However, the last few months have presented a number of challenges for the British royal family, which caused fans to speculate whether this year’s photo shoot would not take place.

Earlier this year, it became known that King Charles (75) has cancer. In March, Princess Kate also revealed that she has also contracted cancer, following massive speculation on social media surrounding her long absence from the media picture.

Last year, the couple shared a charming photo of the princess pushing Prince Louis around in a wheelbarrow in Windsor to mark his fifth birthday.

The post had the text “someone turns five tomorrow…”.

The photo to mark his fourth birthday was taken on a beach in Norfolk, while the photo shared on his third birthday showed the young prince cycling at Kensington Palace, just before his first day at nursery school.

On Tuesday afternoon, however, the prince couple comes with a birthday update on Instagram.

Along with the text “Congratulations on his 6th birthday, Prince Louis”, a charming picture of the birthday boy was published, as is tradition.

Prince Louis was last seen in public on Christmas Eve when the royal family made their traditional visit to King Charles’ home at the Sandringham Estate.

According to the Daily Mail, it is likely that a birthday celebration with the family will be held after the prince’s school day is over.
