Kristoffer Joner reveals an unknown family connection to Alexandra Joner

BERGEN (Dagbladet): On Saturday evening, Norwegian celebrities gather in Grieghallen in Bergen to pay tribute to both TV programs and TV profiles during the Gullruten.

Among them is actor Kristoffer Joner (51), who is attending the award ceremony for the first time. He is nominated for the success “Krigsseileren”.

– I’m a nervous wreck of course, that’s how it is. It’s strange, he says to Dagbladet before the award ceremony kicks off.

– This is my first Gullruten. I haven’t done very much TV, I’ve done mostly film, he explains further.

When Dagbladet meets the acting star on the red carpet ahead of the award ceremony, the opportunity is used to ask the question that many may have wondered.

– Are you related to Alexandra Joner?

– Yes, a little far out there somewhere. Half three-man stuff. I know damn it. But we are related, yes.

– So you haven’t met at a family reunion yet?

– No, our family is scattered around. So it is difficult to gather.

Joner has to admit that he therefore does not have much contact with his “half-breed”.

– You have probably talked to her more than I have. You must greet so much!

In 2023, a TV version of the film “Krigsseileren” was made for the streaming service Netflix. Last year, the film won four awards under the Amanda Prize, while Gullruten has a total of 11 nominations.
