Recently, the actress gained a lot of attention when she appeared on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine, wearing only a leather vest and “susp” with her hand on her crotch, while looking seductively into the camera.

In retrospect, Stewart has received a lot of criticism for what many believe are overly controversial images.

– Let’s keep this simple. It’s kind of ironic, because I feel like I’ve seen a lot of male pubic hair on the front of things. For example, I have seen many men with their hands in their trousers. I think the pictures are a blatant acknowledgment of a woman’s sexuality. Which is annoying to people who are sexist and homophobic.

Furthermore, Stewart says that she has previously seen more revealing covers than her own.

The 33-year-old tells Rolling Stone why she wanted to pose for such photos.

– I wanted to send a message, challenge the gender image. If I managed to get through all of “Twilight” without being on the cover of Rolling Stone, it’s because my male co-stars were the sex symbols.

The star also emphasizes that she wanted to do “the gayest thing you’ve seen in your whole life”.
