After a long time of speculation, Sophie Elise Isachsen (29) confirmed in November that she and her partner, Vegard Jørstad, were expecting their first child.
Now the influencer has become a mother. She confirms this on Snapchat.
Among other things, she writes the following on Snapchat:
– Then he finally came into the world, our little son, she writes at the beginning of the message.
She says he came at 08.50 on 29 April.
– He is so nice and not least so calm and kind. I was very much in shock when he came out, and it took me quite a few hours to land afterwards. I couldn’t quite understand, writes Isachsen.
Isachsen has given many updates about her pregnancy to her followers, and in January she revealed that they were going to be parents to a little boy. The name of the baby has been decided for a long time.
Dad Vegard Jørstad is Isachsen’s old childhood flame, and the two were childhood sweethearts when they were 15 years old. In May 2023, she told about her new flame, which was then unknown to the public.
– I have never in my life been so grateful for a person as I am for Vegard now, writes the influencer.
She continues:
– I will say more later, but now the body needs to heal, get to know our son and everything that is new.

Lost a child
However, it is not the first time Isachsen and her partner have been expecting a child together.
The 29-year-old and her boyfriend opened up about the miscarriage she experienced last year and how they coped with the tough time in a podcast episode of “Sophie Elise – soon to be a mother”.
The couple were ecstatic when they discovered the pregnancy, which was not planned, and Jørstad said he collapsed when he received the sad news:
– Then I collapsed quite hard at work. I cried myself to death. I have never gone so quickly to Oslo before. It was the heaviest day of my life, he said in the episode.
Although Isachsen became pregnant again after two months, it took a long time before she was able to relax, as she was afraid of losing another child.
Will eat his own placenta
During her pregnancy, the 29-year-old has attracted attention for her statements about child-rearing, but when she revealed her plans to eat her own placenta after giving birth, things boiled over, to say the least.
Not everyone is equally positive about the idea, including journalist and author Ingeborg Senneset (38).
She urged Isachsen to leave her placenta alone, and she stated to Nettavisen that she was very surprised by Isachsen’s choice.
– It may very well be that it goes just fine, but it can hardly be fun to start school and then all your classmates know that your mother ate the bloody lump of waste you brought with you when you were born, Senneset told Nettavisen in January.
Shortly after, Isabelle Ringnes (35), among others, threw herself into the placenta debate, and, like Senneset, was skeptical that it would become a trend.
There are a number of other celebrities who have praised eating their own placenta, among others Kim Kardashian (43) and Norwegian-American Chrissy Teigen (38) have done this in different ways. Some in the form of pills, others in the form of powder.
