It was last September that the star couple Amalie Iuel (29) and Aksel Lund Svindal (42) were able to welcome their son Storm into the world, and this weekend’s race was therefore Iuel’s comeback after giving birth, as well as the first time away from her just over seven-month-old son .

Talks about dramatic birth

In an interview with NRK, Iuel admits that she strongly felt her maternal instinct, and that it was difficult to leave her son.

– It was very sad, actually. I’ve seen people talk about it in the past, that it was very sad to leave the child and they often cry, and then I thought: “Hey, can’t you just enjoy your child’s leave?”. But it was much tougher than I had imagined. There were some tears, she says.

She nevertheless says that her son was well looked after at his father’s home. But despite the fact that Svindal has put his skis on the shelf, he lives a busy everyday life. The couple therefore had to plan how everything would work out now that they have a little baby in the picture.

– Not as fat

– He has been in the top sports before, so he knows what hard priorities are all about, and how you have to set up a competitive season. So we’ve talked about how we’re going to set up the seasons, and how we’re going to divide up our son, and who’s going to be home when, says Iuel.

Furthermore, the new mother says that she is very positive that they have made a good plan, but that being away from her son should not become a matter of habit.

– I have learned that I am a worried soul. That I can quickly worry about things that are not necessarily a danger, or something dangerous. I often have to go over and hear if he is breathing. The maternal instinct is there in any case.

Sharing cute picture

There is little doubt that Iuel will miss her son during the periods she has to be away from him this season.

Se og Hør has been in contact with Amalie Iuel, who does not wish to comment further on the matter.
