New record on the Oslo Stock Exchange

On Wednesday, the main index on the Oslo Stock Exchange rose 0.3 per cent before ending at 1,398.27 points. It is the highest closing price ever. At the close of trading, a barrel of North Sea oil was traded for 82.75 dollars, down 0.5 per cent. Equinor fell 0.3 per cent to NOK 304.70, while Aker BP went down 1.0 percent to NOK 268.90.

– The results season has been fantastic, and there is no doubt that the interest rate will go down. If the interest rate cut is postponed for a quarter or two it does not make me anxious, says manager Jan Petter Sissener to Finansavisen.

Hexagon Composites reported a turnover of NOK 1.08 billion in the first quarter, down from last year’s NOK 1.13 billion, while the EBITDA result ended at NOK 77 million, down from 83 million last year. On Tuesday, Carnegie published an analysis which concluded that the quarterly report could be a price trigger. The share climbed 12.4 percent to NOK 21.35.

Odfjell presented its quarterly figures after the stock exchange closed on Tuesday. The chemical tanker company made a profit of $68 million after tax in the first quarter, and management expects an even stronger second quarter. The share rose 9.8 per cent to NOK 192.00.

Napatech announced on Tuesday evening that the company has raised NOK 225 million at a rate of NOK 25.00. On Wednesday, the share rose 29.0 per cent to NOK 29.40.

Mowi rose 1.1 percent to NOK 195.30 after the company’s quarterly presentation. The board of the farming giant has decided to distribute a dividend of NOK 1.5 per share. share for the first quarter – corresponding to NOK 776 million.

Kongsberg Automotive had an operating result of 10.1 million euros in the first quarter, up from 3.6 million in the same period last year. Revenues ended at 212.1 million euros, down from 228.8 million in the first quarter of 2023. The share fell 3.9 percent to NOK 1.69.

DNO had an operating profit of 61 million dollars in the first quarter, up 61 percent from the previous quarter, while at the same time there is a decrease of 60 percent from the previous year. The share climbed 6.4 percent to NOK 11.17.
