Nude cruise with Norwegian Cruise Line

--

No, the cruises of the travel company Bare Necessities are not so expensive that guests sit back. It just seems that way…

The theme cruises “Big Nude Boat” are special cruises – a distinctive travel experience for those who prefer to cruise completely naked, writes Cruise Hive.

In what promises to be a unique journey for Norwegian Cruise Line, the “Big Nude Boat” is scheduled to sail from Miami in February 2025.

According to the travel company Bare Necessities, which has chartered the entire ship for this trip, the 11-day Caribbean cruise will give guests “the liberating experience of a clothing-optional vacation with the facilities and services of a traditional cruise.”

Separate rules have been drawn up for behavior on the Big Nude Boat cruises. And it’s not allowed to be completely naked all the time. Nude specialist

The American travel and tour company specializes in events where nudists, naturists and otherwise people who like to be naked can have natural travel experiences. For several years, they have chartered large cruise ships for “Big Nude Boat” trips in the Caribbean.

Later in May, a nude cruise between Greek islands will also be launched with the ship Royal Clipper. Bare Necessities has also opened to take bookings for a Big Nude cruise from Australia’s Great Barrier Reef to Vanuatu aboard Scenic Cruises’ Scenic Eclipse II on October 26 next year.

The Norwegian Pearl cruise departs on 3 February next year, and returns to Miami on Valentine’s Day – probably with many hearts on fire. It costs from $2,000 (just over NOK 22,000) in interior cabins and up to $33,155 (NOK 367,000) for a 3-room Haven Garden Villa suite on deck 14.

Nude visit to private island

The cruise will begin and end with a visit to Norwegian Cruise Line’s private island, Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas. Here, passengers can snorkel, zipline and relax in cabins. Both visits to the private island are exclusive calls, meaning passengers can drop clothes during their stay.

During the cruise, the nearly 2,400 passengers on board will visit picturesque Caribbean destinations such as the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, St. Maarten, Dominica, Martinique and St. Lucia.

The sailing will also include two “naked days at sea”. Some additional excursions on land will also be optional clothing-free.

Only wearing led lights

Although the nude cruise is not listed on Norwegian Cruise Line’s website, the travel organizer Bare Necessities provides passengers with travel guarantees like everyone else. According to the travel company, these trips sell out quickly.

According to Cruise Hive, special events have been held on board during previous Big Nude cruises. This is also planned for this cruise, but they have not yet been made public.

On a previous Carnival Pride nude cruise, the optional fun included a pirate night themed costume party, a deck dance party where the only “outfit” required was LED lights. A so-called passenger talent show was also arranged – without specifying what kind of talent won.

Bare custom and use

However, the “Big Nude Boat” is not without rules. The only shiny brass that is allowed to shine always and everywhere is that which is part of the ship’s inventory.

In order to maintain a respectful atmosphere, Bare Necessities and Norwegian Cruise Line have established clear guidelines for etiquette – conduct, if you will – for all passengers:

  • When the ship is at sea or at anchor, nudity is generally permitted.
  • However, when the ship is docked, all passengers must be fully clothed on all parts of the vessel, including private balconies, until an announcement is made that it is acceptable to be naked again.
  • Clothing is also required in all dining areas, and it must be more than bathrobes or underwear.
  • Underwear does not count as general attire, nor does fetish clothing.
  • Specific rules about appropriate behavior in public areas will also be enforced.
  • Additional precautions, such as the mandatory use of towels on shared seating and strict no-photo zones throughout the ship, will also ensure privacy and comfort for all passengers.
