Noh is this accessory back in full force. Did you read it twice? Well, that’s because the trend is double up, in a way.

Now you have to use two belts at the same time.

The colors that apply now

At least if we look at some of the world’s most trend-setting fashion profiles, such as Bella Hadid. And many do.

The supermodel appeared with not just one, but two belts already a couple of years ago. And then again later that year.

And now the trend has also appeared on the international catwalk, where some of the world’s biggest fashion houses sent their models out with two belts around their waists.

In fact, belts in general have seen an upswing.

The trend that is everywhere now

And they come in a number of different editions now.

You may remember the rather controversial Diesel belted skirt? It was part of the trend with the short-short miniskirt that Miu Miu broke ground on.

Now this one is back

But the more traditional belt is also back. Not to mention the belt buckle.

– In the last decade, the trend has been trousers with a high waist, but now we are ready to get rid of the uncomfortable high waist, says designer Elizabeth Romanin.

She is a designer for the clothing brand FWSS, and believes that we are now moving towards a lower waist and a more relaxed fit.

And with that comes the belt loops.

– Before, belts were unnecessary and impractical, but the changed fit means that belt buckles are making a comeback, and belts are once again a necessary accessory, she continues.

– Belt loops on trousers with a more relaxed fit are more inclusive. It makes it easier for people of all shapes and sizes to choose a pant that works for them and adjust the waist with a belt. Form and function meet, she says.
