Norwegians love frozen pizza in general, Grandiosa in particular, and there are few who love it more than John Ståle Dyngvold from Farsund.
The southerner who is called the “Grandiosa king” tells DinSide that he thinks this week’s offer price is “quite extreme”, and that it is an offer that is in every way too good to say no to.
– Calling me the Grandiosa King
Whether it will pay off is still uncertain. At least in a short time.
– Personally, I just ordered a new freezer to make room for more Grandiosa, says Dyngvold to DinSide.
He has already bought some, but currently has some limited freezer space. There will now be an end to that.
– I have calculated that I will have space for 60 pizzas, says an enthusiastic Dyngvold.
Five Grandiosa a week
When DinSide spoke to Dyngvold earlier this year, he said that he eats Grandiosa five times a week. He still does.
– I eat it every day after work.
It is the original Grandiosa that applies, and he keeps the accessories minimal, that is, they are non-existent. The only thing he enjoys with his pizza is a bottle of Coke.
He says that sometimes he tries other variations, but that he always returns to the original.
– It is very rare that I try something else, and the original is the best.
Rations: – In the best sense
Scrape off the filling
The grandiosa king not only prefers the original, he also has an original way to enjoy the frozen pizza.
– I scrape off the filling with a fork. Then I eat the bottom first, with my hands, and the filling with a fork afterwards.
– Why do you do it like that?
– That’s a good question! I save the best for last.
