Ann Coulter (62) made a shocking statement when she appeared on former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s podcast this week, writes the New York Post.
Coulter is an author and conservative political commentator who really became famous in the nineties. Since then, she has been frequently seen on television screens in the United States.
Vivek Ramaswamy (38) tried to hijack the Republican presidential nomination, but like all the other candidates had to throw in the towel in the battle against Donald Trump.
– Because you are an Indian
Ramaswamy and Coulter are discussing American identity when Coulter makes the following statement:
– I agreed with much of what you said when you stood as a presidential candidate, actually more than most other candidates, but I still would not have voted for you because you are Indian.
Ramaswamy then allows Coulter to continue talking without making an immediate reaction.

Coulter further says that she will only vote for candidates who fall within the definition of “WASP”.
WASP is an abbreviation for white Anglo-Saxon Protestants, but can also be used in a general sense to refer to upper-class white Americans. The term is also used in a negative sense.
– There is a core national identity which is WASP identity, and that doesn’t mean we can’t bring in someone else, from Sri Lanka, a Japanese or an Indian, but the core around which the nation’s values are shaped is the WASP, Coulter continues.

Against Trump
Ann Coulter was a strong supporter of Donald Trump for a long time and predicted that he would win the presidential election in 2016. Since then, however, the atmosphere between the two has soured considerably.
In 2023, Coulter lashed out at the former president after Trump had called her a “faded celebrity” and a loser, writes the New York Post.
“Ann Coulter, the renegade political ‘pundit’ who predicted my victory in 2016 and then went intolerably insane with her demands and desire to be a part of everything, to everyone’s dismay, has become increasingly hostile and angry with every bite of his very ‘nervous’ energy”Trump wrote on Truth Social.
Coulter, for her part, has called Trump a “giant baby” who “can barely speak English”.
