Several people attacked with stabbing weapons near the subway station – NRK Urix – Foreign news and documentaries

– We were called just before 7 o’clock local time to reports that a vehicle had been driven into a house in the Thurlow Gardens area. There were reports that people had been stabbed with a weapon, reports the London police.

– A man with a sword has been arrested.

Several pictures and videos on social media show the same person with what looks like a katana sword. They match other pictures of the area taken today.

– We do not believe that there is any further threat to society. We are not looking for more suspects, says Assistant Police Commissioner Ade Adelekan in a statement.

– The incident does not appear to be terror-related.

Both the ambulance and the fire service rushed to the city. They provided health care on the spot, The Guardian reports.

Station closed

NRK has a problem with Chris Bates (40), who lives a stone’s throw from the station. He says he saw the man being arrested from the bedroom window.

– It happened about two doors away from my house, so I went out afterwards and watched from the driveway, he says.

– He took them with electric shock weapons and put them on the ground.

– It has been announced that a critical incident has occurred in Hainault. The station and the road are closed.

The transport company Transport for London (TfL) says the reason for the station closure is a police investigation.
