Several people attacked with stabbing weapons at a subway station – NRK Urix – Foreign news and documentaries

– We were called just before 7 o’clock local time to reports that a vehicle had been driven into a house in the Thurlow Gardens area. There were reports that people had been stabbed with a weapon, reports the London police.

– A man with a sword has been arrested.

Several pictures and videos on social media show the same person with what looks like a katana sword. They match other pictures of the area taken today.

The perpetrator has attacked several people in the area and two police officers, the police further say.

– We do not believe that there is any further threat to society. We are not looking for more suspects.

– The incident does not appear to be terror-related, says Assistant Police Commissioner Ade Adelekan in a statement.

Station closed

The representative for the area in the British National Assembly, Wes Streeting, write on X:

– It has been announced that a critical incident has occurred in Hainault. The station and the road are closed.

The transport company Transport for London (TfL) says the reason for the station closure is a police investigation.

– This must have been a frightening event for those concerned. I know that society will feel shock and horror, writes police spokesperson Ade Adelekan.
