Myanmar has reportedly experienced one of its hottest days ever. The hottest day of the month had a top temperature of 48.2 degrees Celsius on Sunday last week.

This is reported by the AFP news agency.

The unusually high temperature is said to have been measured in the city of Chauk in central Myanmar.

– We can’t do anything when it’s as hot as this, says one resident to the news agency.

Temperature measurements have been made for the past 56 years.

The country is located in Southeast Asia and borders Bangladesh, India, China, Thailand and Laos.

In an earlier version of this matter, we wrote that the average temperature had been 48.2 degrees for April. The truth is that this was the highest temperature for one day.
