Among the uncovered cases is the story of a female police student who was seduced by a gang member. Their relationship led to the police student conducting illegal searches of police records on behalf of his girlfriend, which ultimately led to physical attacks on individuals who stood in the way of the gang’s operations.

The investigation shows that this is part of a larger trend where criminals exploit personal relationships to further their interests, which has created a culture of mistrust and fear among the ranks of the police.
