On Monday, VG wrote that over 200,000 fewer watched the final this year compared to last year.
These figures do not worry Rønningen. He points out that TV habits are different this year compared to last year.
– And the largest proportion of viewers watch “Kompani Lauritzen” on TV 2 Play. Therefore, it is a little early to say exactly what the viewing figures for the final itself will be, he emphasizes.
The average for this year’s season is 912,000 viewers per episode.
– These are fantastic numbers, and it wouldn’t surprise me if we see an average of up to a million when even more people have seen the last few episodes. In that case, we are right up against last year’s average, he says, adding that the numbers are rising every single day.
New recording in autumn
In 2023, it became known that “Kompanie Lauritzen” would move the recording from Rauma to Voss. According to Avisa Hordaland, Voss had to cough up NOK 5.9 million to reach the agreement.
TV 2 confirms that the recording will continue at the same location.
– The reception at Voss has been absolutely fantastic and we are looking forward to the continuation. Already in August/September, we are starting new recording, Rønningen reveals.
TV 2 has an agreement to record three seasons of “Kompani Lauritzen” and three seasons of “Kompani Lauritzen: Tropp” at Voss.
