Now six artists and groups are ready for the new music competition “VG-Lista Top 40 Feat You”. In the next few weeks, six will become one.
On Friday 21 June, it is ready for the traditional party at Rådhusplassen. A number of artists will be on stage.
The prize in “VG-Lista Top 40 Feat You” is to perform on stage “in front” of the whole of Norway, and on the same stage as some of Norway’s biggest stars.
Vjollca Moazzem, who is responsible for the VG-Lista Top 40, describes the concept as a mix between “The Voice”, “Idol” and “Hver gang vi møtes”.
– We want to give undiscovered talents a completely new platform where they can show off, she has previously said.
The competition is to promote budding artists over the age of 15. The semi-finalists have been selected by, among others, professionals from the major record companies.
All the semi-finalists cover a song from a well-known artist, who has previously ended up on the VG-Lista Top 40.
Which of these six submissions goes on is up to you!

MAS
Milad Shahdadi (28) performs “Free” by Stig Brenner.
– I want to be able to help people with my music in the same way that music has been there for me through good and difficult times in my life.
The rapper from Oslo says that he recognizes himself in the lyrics.
– When it comes to aging, maturing, and having more understanding of how the world and life work, he says.
Kamila Hemmat
The 19-year-old from Nes performs “BARAF/FAIRUZ” by Karpe.
– I chose this song because it has lyrics that I, as a second-generation immigrant, can relate to.
She praises Karpe for bringing people together
– They remove the distinction between “us” and “them”, she says and adds:
– My journey as an artist has only just begun, and by voting for me you get the opportunity to say that you have had a hand in the game the day this is what I do for a living!
Anton GK (Anton Gystad-Kristiansen)
In Trondheim, Anton Gystad-Kristiansen (16) dreams of working as an artist.
He covers “When I Was Your Man” by Bruno Mars, who is his favorite artist.
– This is my favorite song, so I really want to sing it in front of many thousands of people.
Lea Kulland Solfjeld
The 18-year-old from Tvedestrand has always had a dream of becoming an artist.
– As I live in a small town, it has been far-fetched for me to make it happen, she says.
Solfjeld performs “I love you, but” by Ramón.
She likes the artist, but it was also a bit of a coincidence that it was a song by him.
– I submitted the video at the last minute and I chose the song that I could play and sing best.
Ida Sofie (Ida Sofie Fritzø Visnes)
“What’s In It For Me” by Amy Diamond is the song Ida Sofie (26) from Tønsberg sings.
– It’s an “all-time banger” that really deserves a new life in 2024! I danced to it all the time growing up.
She promises a “terrific show” if she wins.
Lavender
The competition’s only group consists of these three members:
Martine Vinda Kristiansen (22), Sandra Syversen Gulbrandsen (22) and Leah Louise Aas Jansen (19).
Lavender will perform with “Baby One More Time” by Britney Spears.
– We are very happy to cover new and old songs, by adding, among other things, our own distinctive character, harmonies and melody changes to turn it into our own version! Tells the members.
They are a newly started group in Oslo that makes pop rock music.
– We have chosen “Baby one more time” because it is so much more than just an incredibly catchy song. It’s a song about feeling lonely after a breakup, but also in general.
This was the jury
A total of 294 entries were received for the competition.
A jury consisting of Gard Øksendal (tiktoker and representative of the people), Alexander Austheim (Universal Music Norway), Fatos Gela (Sony Music Norway), Pernille Torp-Holte (Heartbeat Management) and Camilla Sporsheim (Warner Music Norway) selected the six semi-finalists .
