Four scoreless for Robert Gasser in his debut
It has been a dazzling debut so far for Robert Gasser, with three strikeouts and no walks allowed through four shutout innings. The only two Cardinals base runners of the game have reached via single, and one was immediately erased on a nifty double play turned by Brice Turang. Gasser has leaned heavily on his sinker to pair with his best pitch, his sweeper.
But the Brewers also have not scored against Cardinals starter Lance Lynn.
Gasser goes 1-2-3 in the first inning
It was quite the opening to his big-league career for Robert Gasser. The Brewers lefty retired the Cardinals in order in the top of the first, including his first career strikeout on a sweeper to Lars Nootbaar.
