Polet has, as always, a wide-ranging agenda for the selection of wines, and there are many considerations to be taken into account: season, food, grapes, country and districts, sustainability, ethics, gaps in the range, etc.
The five best buys
As usual, we do not allow ourselves to display anything in particular from the pole’s agenda. We are looking for the best buys, i.e. the best possible wine for a relatively moderate price. We have ended up with five wines, three of which are red wines and two white wines.
You will find a more detailed description of the wines below. They are listed in descending order of points, and where two wines receive the same score, the cheapest is listed first.

Medium-bodied with juicy fruit and a rather long aftertaste with very fine tannins. Drink 2024-2028.
Suitable for light meat such as chicken, pork and veal. Drink the wine slightly chilled.

Straw yellow in colour. Scents of apple and lemon with hints of peach, nuts and minerals. Also a fairly clear oak character.
Good fullness and concentration, fresh and with good length. Great wine.
Drink 2024-2032. Suitable for fish and shellfish with rich, butter-based sauces. Also chicken with creamy mushroom sauce.

Quite pale ruby red in colour. Fruity and delicious scent of both red and dark berries with hints of pickled fruit, herbs and flowers.
Juicy in the mouth with great fruity sweetness, but still fresh. A long aftertaste with very fine tannins contributes to the juicy character.
Delicious wine at a good price, which can be drunk slightly chilled.
Drink 2024-2030. Suitable for light meat, such as chicken, pork and veal.
Charles Eusebe Anjou Chenin Blanc 2022
Fresh and lightly spiced white wine from the Loire at a good price.
