Viva Promotions mourns the loss of Ardi Ndembo, a talented Congolese boxer who tragically died following a knockout in a Team Combat League match on April 5.

He remained in a coma until his untimely death.

The boxer leaves behind two children.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has since been set up for Nnembo’s family.

Here the goal is 25,000 dollars, and almost 14,000 dollars have been collected so far.

“Team Combat League Boxing” is behind the collection, and in the description they write that they will match the amount collected up to $25,000.

The format of the “Team Combat League” stands out, as the boxers fight for one or two rounds to earn points.

On April 5, when Ardi Ndembo was knocked unconscious by Nestor Santana, Floyd Mayweather’s uncle Jeff was ringside and saw it all up close.

– I didn’t think it would happen because the format is different from normal boxing.

– Boxing is a sport where you grow up loving it, but there is a lot of risk involved. Anyone can lose their life from boxing.

– When something like this happens, it’s a wake-up call for the whole world, Jeff Mayweather told The Sun when Ardi Ndembo was still alive and lying in a coma.
