When 3,500 starting places were put up for sale in November last autumn, they were snapped up within a day, and there is probably a good chance that the new pile of 500 starting numbers will also disappear quickly. As of now, there are 3,740 runners on Hytteplanmila’s start list. For last year’s race, there were 4,550 entries, and 3,575 of them completed the race.

This year’s Hytteplanmil will have the first ever Norwegian championship in 10 km street running included. To participate there, you must be a member of an athletics club, and in addition, you must tick that you wish to participate in the National Championships when you sign up. It is a national championship for both juniors (U20), seniors and all veteran classes from 35 years and above. The level tends to be high in all classes, so here probably NM medals will not go on the cheap, as it occasionally does in some classes in, for example, NM cross-country races.

Women who this year or last year have run 10 km or 10,000 m under 37.30, and men who have managed a time under 32 minutes, can be seeded into the elite field. Last year, there were 48 women who ran under 37.30, and 81 men who ran under 32 minutes.

The Hytteplanmila will have a number of speed controllers – from 35 minutes to 2 hours, and the fields are so full that the chance of getting help is good anyway. Hytteplanmila has a quality race agreement with Kondis, which means that all Kondis members get a NOK 40 discount on the starting quota.
