EAST LANSING, Mich. — Tuesday evening’s Michigan State baseball’s game against Bowling Green has been canceled due to inclement weather in the forecast.
Thunderstorms and rain are forecast for the East Lansing area Tuesday evening.
This marks the second-straight season that MSU and BGSU have been canceled due to weather, as last year’s meeting scheduled for April 5, 2023 was washed out due to rain and flooding in East Lansing.
Michigan State’s next action is this weekend when the Spartans resume B1G weekend action for their final regular-season road trip, heading to Minneapolis to play a three-game weekend series at Minnesota, Friday-Sunday, May 10-12, with the series- opens starting at 7 pm ET / 6 pm CT on Friday. Saturday’s first pitch is slated for 3 pm ET / 2 pm CT, before wrapping up with the series finale on Sunday at 2 pm ET / 1 pm CT.
MSU returns home for its final four games of the 2024 regular-season, opening with a non-conference match-up with Eastern Michigan on Tuesday, May 14 in a 6:05 pm first pitch.
The Spartans then host Nebraska in a three-game B1G weekend series, Thursday-Saturday, May 16-18. Thursday and Friday’s game are 6:05 pm start times, while Saturday’s is slated for a 1:05 pm first pitch. Saturday is also MSU’s Senior Day as the Spartans will honor their senior players and managers in a pre-game ceremony, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to join in the celebration.
