Man (40) died after a mini tractor accident in Seljord: – Tragic

The police have a hypothesis that the man has been hit by a mini tractor. One person has been charged in the case.

The police in the South-East were notified of the incident in Seljord at 10.34pm on Friday evening.

One of the police’s hypotheses is that a man has been hit by a mini tractor.

– This appears to be a tragic accident, says police attorney Bjørn Bunkholt Sæter to VG.

The deceased is a man in his 40s from Telemark. The next of kin have been notified.

The person who is supposed to have driven the mini tractor has been charged in the case. The person concerned is targeted Section 3 of the Road Traffic ActSays that “everyone must travel with consideration and be alert and cautious so that no danger can arise or damage be caused and so that other traffic is not unnecessarily obstructed or disturbed.” .

– Based on what we know about the course of events as of now, there is no basis for targeting more people, says Sæter.

– Do you suspect that the accused has been under the influence of alcohol or other drugs?

– We have taken blood samples from the accused. We await the results before drawing any conclusions.

The police were at the scene on Saturday night. The accused has not been questioned.

– We have spoken to some of those who were at the scene and carried out crime scene investigations. We have got a good overview of the sequence of events, but I do not want to go into details because there are witnesses we have not spoken to, says Sæter.

The accident happened in a social group. The incident happened in connection with a garage.

– There has been a gathering of around 15 to 20 people associated with several companies in a business area.

The deceased must be autopsied.
