The money will cover bail for the fine of 454 million dollars, close to 5 billion kroner at today’s exchange rate, which Trump has had postponed.

Trump was fined for having inflated values ​​in his company to secure better terms with banks and insurance companies – and for having reduced them to avoid taxes.

The bail prevents New York Attorney General Letitia James from going after Trump’s properties, including the skyscraper Trump Tower in New York, the huge golf resort in Westchester and the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Trump has appealed the sentence, and the payment deferral applies until the case is fully processed.
