It was Oddmund Reinfjorden (53) who died in a scooter accident in Kvænangen in Troms on the night of Tuesday this week.
This was announced by the Troms police district earlier on Wednesday 27 March.
– From Monday evening, life has felt like a big nightmare, from which the whole family just wants to wake up, daughter Anette Bakken tells Dagbladet.
She refers to her father as “a very well-liked man”.
The news of the accident has been very hard for the family, and the daughter describes it as “completely unreal that this has happened just before Easter week started”.
Serious accident
Just after midnight on Monday, the police received a report of a serious snowmobile accident in Troms. When the ambulance arrived at the scene, the man in his 50s was pronounced dead.
– We have spent virtually every Easter in Reinfjord with dad and the rest of the family since we were babies. This Easter was no exception, the family was to gather for many nice trips, good food and lots of coziness, says Bakken and adds:
– This Easter, the family and the village will gather, stand together in grief and remember dad.
Oddmund Reinfjorden’s little brother refers to him as “a caring brother”.

To the newspaper Nordlys, the daughters Anette and Miriam Bakken described their father as “the best of the best”.
In addition to his daughters, Reinfjorden is survived by his partner and grandchildren.
Will be tough
The family says the time ahead will be tough, but that they will be able to stand together as a family.
– My older sister would describe dad as the world’s kindest horse cock, which dad also agreed with, says Anette Bakken.
She herself would describe dad as the kindest, with always a good comment on the way.
– Dad’s partner will describe dad as a fun-loving and confident man. The grandchildren describe grandfather as the kindest and best grandfather you could wish for. They also say he had the second coolest scooter, one grandson has a cooler scooter.
In the local community, Oddmund Reinfjorden was known for his involvement in tourism to Reinfjord, writes Nordlys. He was also one of the participants in NRK’s reality series “Skårungen” from 2017.
The police are investigating the case.
