Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa have kept the break hidden

On Monday, Frida Karlsson (23) and William Poromaa (23) confirmed that they have ended it. It is news the cross-country duo have waited a long time to reveal.

– We have ended it, but we are still very good friends, Frida Karlsson told the Swedish newspaper Expressen earlier on Monday.

Opposite Aftonbladet, William Poromaa comes forward with new details about the break-up.

– It happened in autumn. We didn’t want to go out with it during the WC to keep the focus on the championship, he tells the newspaper.

– I have received questions about William, and it has felt a bit strange to talk about it. But nothing has happened and we are good friends. I wish him all the best, says Karlsson to Aftonbladet.

– Is it special to be on the same team as your ex-boyfriend?

– It’s not that special. It’s as always, replies Karlsson, who took two silvers during the ski WC in Planica.

When asked by the Swedish newspaper if the phone gets hot after the news was released, Karlsson replies:

– I live life as a single person.

Frida Karlsson and William Poromaa have been Ski-Sweden’s most high-profile couple, and after the World Ski Championships in 2019, the youth sweethearts bought a house together in Sollefteå.

In June 2021, it became known that they moved apart to optimize the Olympic charge. Karlsson then moved to Östersund, while Poromaa moved to Sundsvall.

Poromaa won the bronze medal in the five-mile race when Pål Golberg went to the top.
