What are they doing?

  • Bodø/Glimt-Strømsgodset 1-0, Haugesund-KFUM 0-1, Kristiansund-HamKam 1-1, Odd-Fredrikstad 0-2, Sandefjord-Molde 3-1, Sarpsborg-Lillestrøm 1-0

Bodø/Glimt struggled for a long time against Strømsgodset, but the goal was to come in the end. Håkon Evjen was ice cold and placed the ball elegantly in the corner just over a quarter of an hour before the end. And scored with also the only goal of the game.

– Impossible to take it, exclaimed TV 2 expert Jesper Mathisen on the score.

It was worse for Glimt’s perhaps biggest challenger for gold, Molde. Sandefjord turned the game around on their own turf against Molde, and Stian Kristiansen became the hero with his header that led to 2-1. Aleksander Damnjanovic Nilsson punctuated it all with his 3-1 scoring just before the end.

– What are they doing with Molde, Mathisen asked.

– Dramatic minutes for Molde, said expert colleague Simen Stamsø Møller after the goal.

Simon Amin equalized earlier in the half for the hosts, while Fredrik Gulbrandsen scored Molde’s goal before the break. The victory was the first of the year in the Eliteserien for Sandefjord.

– I think it’s an insanely good performance. We drive over Molde for large parts of the match, said Sandefjord player Kristiansen to TV 2 after the match.

– What we deliver today is probably a bottom level that I have not been involved in before. The performance we put together today is far from the standard we have for ourselves, Molde coach Erling Moe told TV 2.

In addition to jubilant scenes, there was also a disappointing message for Glimt before the break. One of their most important players, Fredrik Bjørkan, had to go out with what appeared to be an injury. Kjetil Knutsen was forced to change before eight minutes had been played.

– Heavy lead for Bjørkan to walk off the pitch. Losing Bjørkan is heavy for Kjetil Knutsen, said TV 2 expert Jesper Mathisen.

Fredrikstad, on the other hand, continues its dream start in the return season of the elite series, and took a strong victory against Odd. 2-0 was the final result.

Brann-Rosenborg kicked off the round on Saturday. That match ended with a solid 3-0 victory for the Bergens. It is also Brann who, at the time of writing, leads the Elitserien by one point ahead of Bodø/Glitm, who admittedly have played two fewer games. They receive Strømsgodset in Bodø on Sunday.
