The newspaper Algemeen Dagblad is among the media reporting on the horrific injury to a PSV supporter. Ahead of Sunday’s match at home in Eindhoven against Sparta Rotterdam, the supporter held a blaster in his hand which exploded and caused nasty injuries.

Images circulating on social media show the man holding the explosive over his head before it explodes in a loud bang. Soon after, blood gushes out and you can see that the man has very likely lost one or more fingers.

According to Dutch media, the man must have thought he was holding a so-called “blinker”, but it turned out that it was a bang shot that emits an explosive bang.

PSV won the match against Sparta Rotterdam 4–2 and secured the league gold in the Eredivise.
