John Arne Riise says he has grown tired of what he refers to as disrespectful behaviour.

He says so in a video he himself published online this weekend.

Among other things, Riise reveals that he is aware of unknown people pretending to be him, using his private photos and contacting others under his name. Now he wants an end to this.

– I’m sick of it

In his first TikTok video, the 43-year-old elaborates on the background to why he is now entering the popular platform.

– Just so you know, I have decided to open my own TikTok. There are many reasons for that, but the main reason is that there are people around the world who create fake profiles, says Riise in the video.

– I’m tired of them using my photos and videos of my children and sending messages to other people and pretending to be me. It is disrespectful, says the former national team player.

The Aalesund guy warns fans and followers that they may be contacted by fake “Riise accounts”.

– I want to tell my fans and followers that this is my only TikTok account. So if any other accounts contact you, it’s not me.

– This is the only TikTok account in my name that is real. All other accounts in my name must be reported so that they are removed.

– It is quite new

Now the man with over 100 caps for Norway is looking forward to creating good content for his fans.

– This is quite new, so if you have ideas, let me hear them. Hopefully it will be fun, says Riise.

Riise was for many years one of Norway’s biggest football profiles and played for clubs such as Monaco, Liverpool, Roma and Fulham, before he returned home to Ålesund in 2016 and played for the parent club Aalesund FK.

In recent years, Riise has tried his hand at coaching. Among other things, he has been head coach in Flint Tønsberg and for the women’s team in Avaldsnes. he resigned in the latter job in 2023 after the club lost its elite licence. because of the economy.
