John Achterberg has now himself confirmed that he will leave Liverpool FC after the season. The goalkeeper coach has worked at the club for 15 years, having been a player and coach at Tranmere before that.
The Dutchman has written a resignation letter which he has posted on social media.

I have loved every single day that I have worked at this brilliant club, but after thinking for a long time I have come to the conclusion that the time has come for a new challenge”.

I’ve probably forgotten someone, but everyone has made it a privilege to work here.”
