Champions League semi-final – Ellevilt drama

--
  • Bayern Munich – Real Madrid 2 – 2 (0 – 1)

The stage was set for a monster duel in the semi-finals of the Champions League between the giants Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

The football fans were treated to four goals, two penalty kicks and great details from the Allianz Arena in Germany.

With 2-2 after the first match, the semi-final match is ahead of the return match in Madrid.

Asking for help

– What a lovely football match, exclaimed TV 2’s expert commentator Jesper Mathisen after the equalizer just before the end.

Strong start

Bayern Munich started the match better and came close on several occasions. Most of it was about the German giant in the first half of the half.

But football is simple. It’s about scoring more goals than the opponent.

Toni Kroos found Vinicius Jr with a delicious opener pass and the Brazilian made no mistake alone with Manuel Neuer. Thus it was 1-0.

– That sums up Bayern’s season. So often they have missed big chances only to be punished defensively. One pass opened them up, Sky Sports’ David Richardson wrote in their live coverage.

– The Bayern players were quite shocked after the goal they conceded. The 0-1 result is bitter for Bayern, but it is a typical Real result, wrote Bild in its half-time summary.

– Out of another world

While the first half was characterized by wasted chances from the home team, the second half began with a bang.

Because after 53 minutes, the lightning-quick Leroy Sané showed up and danced into the penalty area. The German knocked in the equalizer with what was a tremendous individual performance.

– Oh, oh, oh. Leroy Sané equalizes with a solo performance out of another world, commented TV 2’s commentator Øyvind Alsaker.

– It’s absolutely excellent, it’s setting fire to the Allianz Arena. For a score, TV 2’s expert commentator Jesper Mathisen follows up.

Minutes later it was Jamal Musiala who was brought down in the penalty area.

Harry Kane was as usual safe as a bank and the game was turned within a few wild minutes from the home side.

The home crowd was ecstatic.

But you can never write off “Los Blancos”.

Real Madrid had the opportunity on the eve of the match when Brazilian Rodrygo was sent off. The referee pointed to the penalty mark.

National team colleague Vinicius Junior saved the penalty and the teams were level.

– What a delicious football match, exclaims TV 2’s expert commentator Jesper Mathisen after the 2-2 score.

– What now Bayern Munich? Do they dare go for it? asks TV 2’s Øyvind Alsaker.

Neither team was able to decide in the final minutes. Thus, nothing has been decided before the return match next week.
