(LSK – HamKam 1–1) Lillestrøm player Felix Vá received marching orders from the referee just minutes after scoring himself.

– There will be a suspension for several matches, because this has nothing to do on a football field, exclaimed TV 2’s football expert Yaw Amankwah after seeing the special situation.

Felix Vá had just put the ball in the goal for Lillestrøm when he lay down on the ground and tackled HamKam’s Luc Marens, just before the break. The TV images showed him putting the knobs in Marens’ legs with straight legs.

The referee initially gave a yellow card, but when he saw the situation on the VAR screen, he pulled the red card out of his pocket.

It was also Vá’s first game from the start for Lillestrøm in the Eliteserien.

With one more man on the pitch, HamKam fought to get his first win in this year’s Elite Series. Hope was ignited when Niklas Ødegård scored after 50 minutes of play. But after the goal, Lillestrøm managed to get back into the game in terms of play and bet on counterattacks when the chance presented itself.

However, it all ended at 1-1.

– Right now I’m mad, because we should have got all three points, at least when they were reduced to ten men, says HamKam’s goalscorer Ødegård to TV 2.

– There is a lot in this team that we haven’t shown yet, he adds.

HamKam came to Åråsen with just one goal in five games. It was in the season premiere away to YMCA in the 1-1 match. After that, there have been four straight 0-1 losses, for Molde, Rosenborg, Brann and Strømsgodset.
