– I have been at KBK for many years now, and I like it here. It’s a great team and a great group that I want to be part of going forward, says Marius Weidel, who has signed an agreement that runs until and including the 2025 season.
The 18-year-old made his debut on the A team in 2022 when he came on as a substitute and scored in the cup match against Surnadal. He also made his debut in the Eliteserien the same year when he came on against Vålerenga away on 10 July.
There was also scoring in the cup last year when KBK met Tomrefjord in the first round. He got two games as a substitute in the 1st division, but the season was ruined in many ways due to injuries.

The forward, who has seven games for the age-specific national team, has painstakingly rebuilt himself after having trouble with his hamstring for several months. This spring he has played three matches for KBK 2 in the 3rd division, and was on the bench in the elite series match against Tromsø on Sunday.
– I have received good help from everyone around me, and now I am well underway. The fighting form is starting to improve after I have played for KBK 2, so I am not far from 100 percent, says Weidel.
Marius Weidel started his career in Frei. He became a KBK boy in 2019 and signed a professional contract in 2021.
Development manager Leo Totev in Kristiansund Ballklubb is happy that Marius Weidel has stepped up to the first team squad and has signed his second contract with the club.
– He is one of the best natural finishers I have seen here in many years. He has a nose for goals, good speed and a finishing technique that has meant that he has scored many goals for KBK 2. We have expectations for him in the 2024 season, and think he can perform over time so that we will see what lives in him, says Leo Totev.
