In Wednesday’s training match, which is HamKam’s last before the start of the series next week, they met neighbors Elverum in Briskeby.
There is no doubt that there is a difference in level between the teams, but there were gradually ugly numbers at Briskeby.
Very ugly.
First chance
The match started well for Elverum, who after ten minutes of play had a shot hit the post via a Kamma defender at 0-0, but that was it.
HamKam controlled most of the game, and got their first goal from a penalty shortly afterwards.
At half-time it was “only” 2-0 to the green jerseys.
In the second half, it completely unravelled.
During the break, HamKam made some substitutions, which would prove to be very decisive.
The striker Pål Kirkevold in particular was to prove to make a big difference.
HamKam slowed down and really showed what kind of level difference there is between the teams.
Mega bang
Twice in the second half, HamKam scored three goals in three minutes.
In the 69th minute, 70th minute and 72nd minute, as well as the 81st minute, 83rd minute and 84th minute. The last goal was scored in the 86th minute, so the game ended with four goals in five minutes.
It also didn’t help that several of the goals were ugly ball losses by Elverum in their own midfield.
Pål Kirkevold accounted for three of the goals.
When the clock showed 90 minutes, it read 11-0.
HamKam opens the season at home against Molde in the Eliteserien on Sunday 7 April.
The following day it is Elverum’s turn, which starts at home against Fredrikstad 2 in the Norsk Tipping league, division 6.
