LSK Women fought hard in the derby against Vålerenga, but eventually had to lose. The 1-0 victory for VIF opened the door for Rosenborg.

A game full of chances looked like it could end with 0-0, but a great VIF attack after 87 minutes ended with Ylinn Tennebø, who surely scored her third goal of the season.

This means that Vålerenga has seven wins in seven matches in the Toppserien.

– That’s so nice! We worked hard for this, said a happy Tennebø to TV 2 shortly after the end of the match.

Just a minute earlier, LSK Kvinner could have made it big. Ásdís Halldórsdóttir clinched from 25 metres, but VIF last chance Tove Enblom was in the impossible corner and flicked the ball onto the crossbar and out.

Just before, LSK Women’s coach André Bergdølmo had switched to a five-back line in the hope of at least one point.

Vålerenga’s victory gives them a six-point gap to Rosenborg. LSK Kvinner is in 3rd place with nine points ahead of rival Vålerenga.

The first half opened with a rush from the home team. Nevertheless, none of the big chances ended up in the net. LSK Kvinner played up, and Miljana Ivanovic was able to send the yellow-clad women into the lead.

After the break, the big chances kept coming. Finally the score was broken, and Tennebø and Vålerenga could celebrate.

On 15 May, there will be a top match when Vålerenga meets table neighbor Rosenborg. LSK Women will face Stabæk.
