This is reported by Adresseavisen.

Just before midnight on 8 May last year, a man in his 20s was abducted from the Tyholt area. He was taken to a cellar and held against his will for several hours
hours before he was released. In the aftermath of the kidnapping, the father became
victim, a well-known artist from Trondheim, exposed to serious threats.

The musician paid a total of NOK 750,000 to an account number in
the period 25 May to 31 May. The artist explained that he had to borrow big
sums of family and friends.

On Friday, six men were sentenced in the case, Adressa writes:

  • Man (25) from Sweden: sentenced to four years and six months for aggravated robbery.
  • Man (26) from Eastern Norway: sentenced to prison for six years and six months for aggravated robbery.
  • Man (26) from Eastern Norway: sentenced to prison for six years and six months for aggravated robbery.

  • Man (19) Trondheim: Sentenced to two years in prison, one of which is suspended for complicity in aggravated robbery.

In the judgment, it appears that the court’s assessment of the evidence has essentially all
involved conversations using the encrypted communication apps
