The Eras Tour is back on the road after a two-month break – and now appears almost like The Eras 2r.

– Or as I like to call this: “The female rage musical”, said Taylor Swift (34) from the stage at La Défense Arena in Paris on Thursday evening.

She refers there to her – in her familiar style – record-breaking new album, “The Tortured Poets Department”. The Paris show was her first since the record release.

As expected, there was a lot of material and a separate, extravagant and theatrical “era” section from there, at the expense of other songs that have now been removed from the set.

– Dramatically

Rolling Stone describes “The Tortured Poets Department” part as a dramatic turn in the concert.

– The pop star was a thoroughly angry woman who hovered over the stage during “Who’s Afraid Of Little Old Me?”, followed by a mix of “Down Bad” and “Fortnight”. Swift was then surrounded by a melancholic band during “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived”, writes the magazine.

– Swift even did a silent film skit before bursting into the closing “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” ahead of the surprise bit of the showTaylor Swift usually plays two songs in each concert that are not part of the fixed set list, i.e. two songs exclusive to that one concert.they report further.

There were other changes as well:

  • All eras, with the exception of the one associated with the album “Reputation” (2017), have new costumes for the artist.
  • The material from the 2020 albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” has now been merged into one era. Swift calls them “sister records”.
  • She wears a new t-shirt during the performance of the song “22”, which reads “This is NOT Taylor’s Version“Taylor’s Version” is the title associated with Swift’s remakes of all the records she released up to 2017, the original versions of which she does not own the rights to. So far, she has released “Taylor’s Version” of four of the six records she released from 2006 to 2017. The new versions have been wildly successful.», the meaning of which is now being speculated about.
