King Charles could “easily” find time to meet Prince Harry, according to a royal expert

Prince Harry has made the trip across the pond to take part in a commemoration for the anniversary of the “Invictus Games” competition which the prince started in 2014.

Many may have thought, or hoped, that the trip would provide a chance for a meeting with his father, as well as a possible reconciliation with Prince William and Princess Kate.

Before the trip, Prince Harry, according to the New York Post, had sent out invitations to the event to several family members, but none had accepted.

Yesterday it also emerged that King Charles would be too busy to meet Prince Harry during the short time he is in his home country.

Has understanding

The same was also confirmed by Prince Harry after a short time.

“In response to the many inquiries and continued speculation as to whether the Duke will meet his father while in the UK this week, unfortunately it will not be possible due to His Majesty’s busy schedule. The duke obviously understands his father’s agreements with obligations and various other priorities, and hopes to see him soon.”a spokesperson said in a statement.

King Charles’ plans include an audience with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, a garden party and other commitments.

Could set aside time

Now, however, several royal experts and sources are coming forward and saying that the British monarch could easily have taken the time to see his son.

– If the king wanted to meet Harry, he would easily find the time. You can never be too busy to meet your son. It is a good idea if they meet to create some kind of reconciliation, says royal house expert Hugo Vickers to Page Six.

– The king has opened the door wide, but obviously not quite so wide, but they can certainly add things to his plan and juggle things around, says another source close to the British royal family.

– Enough to do

Prince Harry has traveled alone to Great Britain, while Meghan Markle and their two children have remained in Montecito, California, where they have lived for a longer time.

Throughout their time in California, the couple has tried to invest in books, podcasts, documentary series and charity work. Together, the couple run the “Archewell Foundation”, which is named after their first child, four-year-old Prince Archie.

The relationship between Prince Harry and the rest of the British royal family can be said to have been at rock bottom after the publication of Prince Harry’s memoir “Spare” in early 2023.

Prince Harry is said to have also invited his brother Prince William and Princess Kate to the Invictus event, but they are also said to have declined.

– William has a short way from the throne, with a sick wife and three small children he has enough to do, explained a source close to the royal house as the reason why Prince William cannot participate.

Prince Harry and Prince William haven’t spoken in over a year.
