A 36-year-old man has been arrested, charged with killing the boy and injuring four others in the north-east of the city, the police say.

The incident must not be linked to terrorism.

The London Ambulance Service signed on https://twitter.com/Ldn_Ambulance/status/1785233562829987894 that five were taken to hospital. The London police state that one of them died shortly afterwards.

Two of the injured are police officers. Both the police officers and the two civilians are seriously injured, but it should not be life-threatening, according to the police.

Police were alerted early in the morning, before 7am local time, that a vehicle had driven into a building in the Thurlow Gardens area. There were also reports of people being stabbed with a stabbing weapon.
