The case is updated.

The charge against Gjert Ingebrigtsen for bodily harm was withdrawn on 21 December.

The police investigation was launched after his sons Henrik, Filip and Jakob publicly accused him of violence and threats when growing up. They did so in a chronicle at VG.

The decision will come on Monday, writes TV 2.

In March, Dagbladet wrote that the police’s conclusion was postponed.

The police’s conclusion postponed

Ingebrigtsen’s defender, lawyer John Christian Elden, has previously stated that his client denies criminal guilt.

According to Dagbladet’s information, there are two reports against the 58-year-old. So far, only one of these has been charged. This was done before the New Year.

As Dagbladet has previously mentioned, the reports in the case must contain a number of episodes over many years, and must include both physical and verbal episodes with condescending comments to the children.

Already at the end of October, the police had conducted several interviews in the case, including several family members. All the Ingebrigtsen children have the status of offended, and for at least two of them it must be about physical incidents. The athletics coach has always rejected the allegations.

Reported for verbal and physical episodes

TV 2 also writes that Narve Gilje Nordås and Per Svela have been in for questioning. According to the channel, it must have happened at the request of Gjert Ingebrigtsen’s lawyers.

– In the usual way, we have brought in witnesses we think are relevant to question. Who this is, you will find out in due course. That’s how a criminal case works, says lawyer Mette Yvonne Larsen to TV 2.

The profiled lawyer represents five of the seven victims in the case.
